Calling all my prayer warriors!!! Long post - I have not posted, personally, but today I am. Brian Finley, my church pianist at Fordyce Methodist Church is needing your prayers. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He had his gall bladder and portion of his colon removed this past Thursday. He was sent to SICU, yesterday. Today, he is not improving like the dr's thought he would. Brian will have a lumbar puncture, tomorrow, then transferred to UAMS, where they have more treatments available, than where has currently. Please lift up his parents, Joe and Barbara Finley in your prayers, as well. Thank you from the bottom of heart!!!

Good afternoon, folks! I hope you are staying warm and safe through this winter weather we have had this week. As well, there is another arctic front moving in tomorrow evening/Monday morning with freezing rain and low temps. Please be careful and stay safe.
After conversation with Roger, our council chair, and Patsy, I want you to let you know that even though we turned off the water at church, last Sunday, Larry discovered a leak. Greg Erwin was notified and he came to the church, along with Jacobs Plumbing to check it out. Jacobs Plumbing said that since the water was turned off, they would not be able to locate the problem. With this said, the water is remaining off until after this next cold front.
Therefore, tomorrow, we will not have Sunday School groups – only worship. The doors that will be accessible will be the front door on 4th Street and the entrance under the portico. The north side of the church parking lot is still ice covered, as well as the ramp. Please do not attempt to use either of these entrances. With the weather doing what it is doing, the office will also be closed on Monday. Temps will rise, next week, and we will have better temps to melt the ice.
Again, due to no water in the church or Lighthouse, we will only have worship at 11:00. No small groups tomorrow morning. Also, the office will be closed on Monday, due to the freezing rain coming Sunday night/Monday morning. My plan is to have our normal schedule beginning on Tuesday, depending on the weather.
Any questions, please feel call me on my cell phone. Blessings to each of you!!!

Something to ponder ••••
The next time you use the phrase “Oh my God”, or just using the word “God” in a frivolous or a common way is actually dishonoring God. God’s name is special because it carries his personal identity. Using it frivolously or in a curse is so common today that we may fail to realize how serious it really is. The way we use God’s name conveys how we really feel about him. We should respect his name and use it appropriately, speaking it in praise or worship rather than in curse or jest. We should not take lightly the abuse or dishonor of his name.

Just opening but excellent items and great prices!!!

Just opening but excellent items and great prices!!!

The Global Methodist Church has opened the GMC Store, an online site where its members can purchase a variety of products for local churches, annual conferences, and personal use. All profits the denomination realizes from sales will be invested in its Ministerial Training Fund; a fund created to assist individuals aspiring to serve as clergy persons in the GM Church.

“We are excited to offer attractive, high quality, and officially authorized products to all GM Church members, and to begin investing in clergy members who will lead our local churches for years to come,” said Ms. Cara Nicklas, Chairwoman of the GM Church Transitional Leadership Council. “This is just the beginning of win-win endeavor. I am confident the GMC Store will continue to grow and add many products that will help us spread our message and support future pastors.”
