CALL EXTENDED FOR 3rd FULL-TIME PASTOR

St. Peter's Voters extended a call to Pastor Steve Neuman ("new-man") to serve as our third full-time pastor. Right now the role we are asking Pastor Neuman is a pastor of contact, outreach, and visitation. Pastor Lindemann continues to serve as our administrative pastor and Pastor Boehringer as our school pastor. But the voters have called Pastor Newman to work with our elders and outreach boards to reach out to souls who need Jesus in our community, visit our own members who we miss, and more.

This call was extended to Pastor Newman on September 13, so now he will gather information from us about what we are asking him to do here in Fond du Lac. Then he'll consider his current ministry at St. John's, Pigeon, Michigan and speak with leaders from both churches about where his gifts might be best utilized in God's kingdom. Then he'll make a decision to stay in Michigan or come here to Fond du Lac.

He and his wife Sarah have been blessed with five children (one in high school and four younger children).

Please keep Pastor Neuman and his family in your daily prayers.

A Prayer on the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

Gracious Father, creator and sustainer of all things, on this anniversary of terror and violence, we come to you in repentance, recognizing our own sinfulness and weakness. Forgive us our many sins. In your mercy, grant to our nation peace and protection from all our enemies, both physical and spiritual. Defeat the plans of the wicked who would bring terror and destruction to our society and to the world. Give knowledge and wisdom to our leaders, that they may serve our people with honesty and honor. Give courage and strength to all who protect us in our communities, our country and our world. Bring the light of the Gospel, through the Holy Spirit, to all who serve false gods and live in the darkness of unbelief and fear. Bless us, that we may serve you and bring your word of forgiveness and salvation in Christ to all people- even our enemies- that all may know the eternal peace you grant to your faithful. In the name of the Lord and Savior of all, Jesus, Christ, we pray. Amen.

Happy Wednesday!
Soccer is taking on our good friends from Redeemer this afternoon. Go Lakers!!
Sunday School and Bible Study is starting this Sunday. 9:15-10:15. Your PreK-5 should come to Sunday School and your Sixth grade children and you should come to Pastor Lindemann's Bible class.
Church this weekend: Thursday 6:30 pm, Sunday 8 am, and Sunday 10:30 am.
Boys Club is this Sunday starting at 12 noon.
Fondue Fest this Saturday: our booth is across from the Hotel Retlaw. See you there!
