Saint John's Gospel begins with the astounding description of the Eternal Word of God:

In the beginning was the Word . . .
And the Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us,
and we saw his glory;
The glory as of the Father’s only Son,
full of grace and truth. (Jn 1:1, 14)

In our Gospel this week, we meet the glorious Son of the Father, in the flesh!

🎄 The Christmas Season continues this Sunday with the great Feast of the Epiphany. For thousands of years, God showed Himself to His people, Israel. He gave them the Law through Moses. He spoke to them through the prophets. But He also promised that one day, ALL people will come to know Him and worship Him. The arrival of the wise men from the East signals the fulfillment of that promise!

The wise "outsiders" couldn't find Jesus until they encountered the Jews, who pointed the way to the birthplace of the newborn King in Bethlehem. Today, Jesus shows Himself through the Church and the Sacraments. We are the people chosen - not for ourselves - but to carry the message to all people. Have you pointed the way to our Savior to anyone today? 🤔

It's still Christmas! 🎄😁

This Sunday we'll celebrate the Octave of Christmas: the great Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God.
This glorious feast celebrates the unimaginable generosity of our God, and the great dignity He bestowed on His mother Mary, who represents our redeemed human race.

The Church has so much to teach us! Why don't you join us TOMORROW NIGHT at Our Lady of Peace to talk about it?
We meet every WEDNESDAY at 7pm.
