Color war at Patch Club last night was a ton of fun!

Our kids came ready to compete and had a blast.

Thankful God gave us people who show up and make nights like that happen for our children.

What a wonderful morning celebrating Mrs. Brenda Weaver! The ladies had such a great time together honoring a woman who means so much to our church family.

Mrs. Brenda faithfully serves week after week, caring for our church members, leading the junior church and nurseries, and investing her heart into so many people behind the scenes. Her love for the Lord and for others is seen in everything she does.

We are so thankful for her faithful spirit, servant’s heart, and the incredible role she plays at Open Door Baptist Church. Today was just a small way to show how much she is loved and appreciated.

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Brenda! We love our pastor’s wife so much, and we are grateful for all that you do! ❤️

Today we remember the men and women who gave everything so that we could live in freedom.

We are grateful for every one of them and for the families who bore that cost alongside them.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

Thank God for those who paid that price. May we never take it for granted.

What a great Sunday morning at Open Door Baptist Church!

We were so blessed to have Brother Ray and Sheila Davis with us today. They are missionaries to Africa and Brother Davis brought us a wonderful message that blessed and challenged every one of us.

Thank God for faithful missionaries who give their lives to take the gospel to the nations. Our people needed to hear what he shared today.

Grateful for our church family and for every servant of God who walks through our doors. God is good to us!

Last night was our final official Patch Club meeting of the year!

We spent the evening reviewing everything we’ve learned through our series on the Armor of God. What a blessing it has been to watch these kids grow, learn Scripture, and hide God’s Word in their hearts throughout this year.

Now we’re getting ready for one BIG finish…

If you can read, then you have no excuse not to read your Bible.

They say 90% of Christians have never read the whole thing through one time. Not once. We will read everything else, but we won't read what God said.

How can we say we love Him and never read His Word?

This Book is not too long. It is not too hard. You have time for your phone, time for the TV, time for everything else.

Find the time for God.

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." (Joshua 1:8)

Quit making excuses. Start reading.

America does not need better politics nearly as much as she needs praying Christians.

We must pray.
We must humble ourselves.
We must do what is right.

If there is sin in our lives, then repent.
If there is distance between us and God, then get right with Him.
If our passion for the Lord has grown cold, then rededicate yourself to Him.

As believers, we have a responsibility to intervene on behalf of our nation through prayer and obedience to God.

And after we have done all we can do, we trust Him with the results.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
— 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
