Galatians 5: 1-16

Galatians 5: 16-23 (Law VS. Grace)

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law

As I have been preaching through the book of Galatians, it amazes me that 2000 years later the church still deals with the same issues .
When scriptures from the Bible is being used to establish rules in a church, but words are cleverly incorporated into the rules to support an ideology of a few. That becomes deception, which leads to division. The church has the Word of God for its instruction. Legalism will destroy a church.

The apostle Paul was continuously instructing the church’s about Grace v.s. The law, and opposed those who kept pushing the law.

Philippians 3:2 KJV - Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

What we need to day is a great revival in-our souls not more legalism.

250 Years
From the sea shores in the west, east, and south, to mountains in the north and all through the valleys, for 250 years this great nation stands. America 🇺🇸 has seen its greatest success by the people who have stood together and proudly worked across its vast lands.

Yes we have seen the heart aches of slavery and a civil war on our very soil. We have the history of men and women traveling in wagon trains to seek a better life and new land to work that brought much toil.

In 250 years the proud people of America built and worked in factories and in mines to produce coal, iron, steel and so many others. America has been a nation for generations that stood proudly beside their neighbors as their brothers.

We have experienced the greatest sacrifices of its men and women through foreign wars that this great nation might still be free. We have witnessed the foreign aggressions of enemies on 911 in our land that brought us to our knees.

Today, America is still a land of opportunity for anyone who has ambitions and dreams. We still have the freedom to travel this land of beauty and enjoy its rivers and streams.

I can only imagine the heavy heart our ancestors would feel if they could see the chaos that troubles this nation now. Politics and self power has created a deep divide and is testing our nation as to how much hate we are going to allow.

As we prepare to celebrate 250 years of our democracy, may we once again stand together proudly as the United States 🇺🇸. Let us on this 4th of July celebrate our freedom and most of all let us give thanks to almighty God for all his blessings and his grace.
