This Sunday, we’re excited to celebrate the incredible women of HCC with a special Mother’s Day service!

We’ll be gathering together for a meaningful time centered on Luke 10:38–42, where we’ll reflect on the invitation of Jesus to sit and rest in His presence. In the middle of busy, full lives, we want to create space to be refreshed, encouraged, and reminded of what truly matters.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

A special service dedicated to honoring and encouraging the women of HCC

A thoughtful gift for all women in attendance

Snacks and a time of fellowship after the service

A fun photo booth to capture memories with family and friends

It’s going to be a really special day, and we would love for you to be part of it. Invite someone, bring your family, and come ready to celebrate!

Join us for our Hope Community Church Book Sale, where you can find great books at affordable prices while making a difference! This event is all about serving our community, offering books for all ages and interests, and supporting outreach efforts.

Have you ever had something fully prepared for you—coffee ready to drink, reservations made, gifts waiting—but never actually experienced it? That's exactly what happens when we try to earn God's righteousness through our own efforts instead of simply receiving it.

This Sunday we explored Romans 9-10 and discovered a life-changing truth: righteousness isn't something we achieve—it's something we receive through faith in Jesus. The Jewish people were passionate and zealous for God, but they stumbled because they tried to earn salvation through works instead of surrendering to God's way.

Romans 10:9-10 makes it beautifully clear: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." No earning required. No performance needed. Just faith in what Christ has already done.

Stop trying to close the gap on your own. Salvation is available, prepared, and waiting. The only question is: will you receive it?

We’re excited to share an opportunity to serve and make a real impact this summer!

Join us as we travel to Harrisburg to serve Bethesda Missions Shelter. Throughout the weekend, we’ll be helping with yard work, cleaning, serving meals, and spending meaningful time with those staying at the missions.

Interest Meeting:
Come learn more on May 3rd after church in the conference room!
If you’re interested but can’t make it, reach out to the office for more information.

Trip Details:
Leave Friday evening (dinner on the way)
Serve all day Saturday
Sunday morning includes breakfast & a Bible study before heading home
We’ll be staying together in an Airbnb
All ages are welcome (those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent)

This is a great chance to serve, grow, and build community together—we’d love for you to be part of it!

re you checking boxes in your faith, or walking in relationship with Jesus?

This week we explored Romans 7:4-6 and discovered something powerful: living in Christ isn't about rule-keeping—it's about belonging. When we put our faith in Jesus, we died to the law and were joined to Him in an intimate, transforming relationship. We're not meant to obey out of fear or guilt, but out of love, gratitude, and desire for the One who saved us.

The law still matters—it reveals God's heart and exposes our need for a Savior. But it can't heal us. Only Jesus can forgive, transform, and restore our broken hearts. Christianity isn't behavior modification; it's heart transformation.

So let the performance fall away and let grace take its place. You don't have to earn what Jesus already paid for on the cross. Come belong to Him!

WEEKEND SERVICE UPDATE:

Due to the expected snowstorm—and after missing last week—we want to create a safe space and time to gather for worship.

Service will be Saturday night, January 24 at 5:00 PM
Kids Church will be available and nursery will be open.

There will be no service on Sunday, January 25.

Please travel safely. We look forward to worshiping together on Saturday Night!
