Friends of Hillcrest:

The church lot in front of the cemetery will be paved tomorrow. Access to the cemetery by car will be very limited. The lot will be open again for driving on Sunday morning.

Friends of Hillcrest Cemetery..

Please join us on Wednesday November 15th at 6:00 PM for a board meeting. We meet at Floyds K***s Christian Church directly in front of the cemetery.

The meetings are brief. The new officers, Ted Newton, Lindsey Fleming and Abby Newton are excited to introduce ourselves and get your vision for the long term success of our beautfiul cemetery.

Good morning,

Yesterday evening a meeting was held with the Board Members of Hillcrest Cemetery. The existing Board Officers nominated Abby Newton, Ted Newton and Lindsey Fleming to serve as Board Officers. Ron Hartman and Berneta Stillman, the existing President, Treasurer and Secretary, notified the Board of their intent to resign from their current positions.

The Board appointed Ted Newton to serve as President, Lindsey Fleming to serve as Treasurer and Abby Newton to serve as Secretary.

The next Board Meeting will be held at Floyds K***s Christian Church on June 20, 2017 at 6:30 PM and is open to the public.

Friends & family of Hillcrest:

My husband Ted and I have been in contact with a few different lawn care companies locally and have found one (Lamb’s Lawn Care) that is happy to add Hillcrest to their client list at a reasonable price. The existing board at Hillcrest is unable to meet with us for the next two weeks. In the meantime, my husband and I have agreed to cover the expenses for Lamb’s Lawn Care to mow the cemetery two times. Hopefully that’s enough to get us through, pending our meeting with the board where we can come up with a long-term solution. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us. We will keep you informed as we know more and let you know how you can help when the time comes.
