We welcome you to Floyd Friends Meeting where 'that of God' shines through each person of any age or ability, race or ethnic background, sexual orientation or gender. Floyd Friends Meeting is an unprogrammed meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. We are a monthly meeting of the Baltimore Yearly Meeting. Floyd Friends follow the unprogrammed or silent tradition, so those present sit in expect

ant, or silent, waiting for connection with God or Spirit. When a worshiper feels that he or she has been given a message which is intended for the entire group, he or she will share that message, making certain that all can hear. All are encouraged to consider the content, accepting it if it speaks to their condition, letting it pass if it does not. It may lead to other messages which build on it; if so, sufficient time should be allowed between messages for all to absorb the first message, and for the person who offers the second message to be sure that it is Spirit-given rather than a personal response.
