Topic: Only God can Restore You
Theme Scripture: 1 Peter 5: 10-11 “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen
Definition of Restoration according to the Bible: the definition goes far beyond merely repairing something old; it means returning a person, relationship, or nation to its original design while often multiplying its value so that the final state is greater than the original condition.
RESTORATION
Restoration is the work of bringing something back to its original (or even an improved) condition after it has been damaged or broken. Consider an old painting that once was beautiful; but time and harsh treatment have faded the colors and worn down the canvas, and it is covered with smudges and stains. Imagine that painting being taken to an art restorer. After meticulous work, the painting comes back vibrant, like new. Scripture says much about restoration, especially about God restoring fallen humans into a right relationship with him.
