Hope Fellowship is delighted to welcome Rev. Rod Zwemke to the pulpit Sunday! Rod was recently called to serve as the Associational Mission Strategist of the Chattahoochee Baptist Association. He has a great desire to see new churches planted throughout our area and will be bringing a message to us from the Gospel of Matthew ("What Jesus Meant by the Church"). Join us Sunday at 10 AM!

We've been working our way through Paul's letter to the church at Colossae. Beginning at 1:23, the Apostle introduces us to his work, providing a portrait of what faithful ministry looks like. But this isn’t a portrait of a great man; it’s a portrait of what the gospel does to a man. A preacher was walking down a street when he met the owner of a company that made soap. As they talked, the soapmaker said, “The gospel you preach can’t be very good for there are still a lot of wicked people.” The preacher noticed a child nearby making mud pies. The tot was smeared with dirt from head to toe. The preacher said to his friend, “Your soap can’t be very good, for there is still a lot of dirt in the world.” The man responded, “Well, it cleanses only when a person uses it.” “Exactly!” said the preacher. ~ M. We’ve all watched the forecast call for snow, made our plans, and then woken up to nothing but bare ground. Forecasts can be wrong, and often are in Georgia. But if we get our forecast of Jesus wrong, we are sunk. This Sunday in Colossians 1:15–23, we’ll ask the most important question we can ask: "Who is Jesus, really?"
