Hi Grace ladies! I really miss being with you all at church! I just wanted to let you know that we are praying for you, and if you need anything, please contact someone on staff! We are still teaching, but doing it online, of course. It is so strange and quiet around here without all of our normal activities going on. This is such a strange time for all of us, and I wanted to take this opportunity to encourage you in a few things...
1. It won't be this way forever! This too shall pass! Lord willing, we will all be together again soon!
2. Take this time to ask the Lord what He wants to teach you through all of this. He has done a very good job of clearing our calendar, so maybe He is trying to get our attention!
3. Use your extra time at home to read a good book, do some spring cleaning and organizing, play with your kids, go on a walk in this beautiful weather and spend some extra time with the Lord!
4. Pray for Pastor as he is preparing to preach, and be sure to watch the online services asking God to speak to your heart from His Word.
5. Remember to pray for those who are sick or have lost their jobs because of this situation.
6. Ask the Lord to help you to be a good steward of the stimulus check coming, if you're getting one. Let me encourage you to save it and make sure your needs are met and bills are completely paid before you plan your next vacation or buy new living room furniture!
7. Please pray for President Trump and the other leaders to have wisdom as they make decisions during this difficult time.
I think the Lord will use this to help us be more grateful for our church family and the ability we have to actually GO to church! As Americans, we have always been blessed with the freedom to go to church whenever we want, so maybe this will help us appreciate that freedom in the future!
I love you and hope you have a wonderful day, and please plan on joining us tonight at 7 for church! (After watching church online from our recliners the next few weeks, we're all going to be spoiled! Maybe we'll start a fundraiser for reclining seats in the auditorium!) 😂 Love, Sheri Crouch
