Centennial Christian Church Responds to FEMA Announcement
ST. LOUIS, MO — Centennial Christian Church is grateful for the recent FEMA announcement on June 10, 2026, and for the many people who have stood with us since the devastating tornado that claimed lives and forever changed our church and the Fountain Park community.
We also want to clarify that this is not a $3 million check to the church. FEMA funding consists of eligible reimbursable disaster recovery funds that become available as specific federal requirements are met. It is an important milestone in our recovery, but it does not fully fund our rebuilding or our future ministry.
For more than a century, Centennial has been a place of faith, service, and hope in North St. Louis. Our commitment to the people of Fountain Park remains steadfast as we continue to support the health, hunger, housing, and flourishing of our community.
We are grateful for this step forward and invite our neighbors, partners, and supporters to continue investing in the future of Centennial and North St. Louis as we rebuild hope together.
In Christ’s Love,
Rev. Dr. Dietra Wise Baker
Transitional Pastor, Centennial Christian Church
