Pastor Ray is home from Malawi!

We invite you to join us this Wednesday at 6:00pm for a special time of sharing about what God did during the mission trip to Malawi. You’ll hear stories from the pastors conference, ministry opportunities in the refugee camp, and the incredible ways God is working through our ministry partners.

We will also spend time praying for our partners at Bethlehem Christian Academy and Canaan Baptist Church, as well as discussing next steps as we seek to strengthen and expand our partnership in Malawi.

We will meet in the Discovery Classroom (Adult 2).

We hope you’ll join us for this encouraging evening as we celebrate what God has done and look ahead to what He may have for us in the future.

Today, Pastor Raymond, Pastor Samson from Canaan Baptist Malawi, and Austin from Bethlehem Christian Academy went into the refugee camp to purchase rice and corn flour for the BCA families and staff on behalf of Cross Keys.

By God’s grace, enough food was purchased to help feed 100 families for the next 4–5 days. What a blessing to be able to serve in a practical way and help meet real needs within the community.

This was made possible through a portion of the funds raised by our church over the last year.

Church family, thank you for your generosity and faithful giving. Your support is helping care for families, strengthening ministry partnerships, and sharing the love of Christ in tangible ways. We are grateful to partner together in serving others and being the hands and feet of Jesus in Malawi.

“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” - James 2:14-17 ESV

What a sweet way to celebrate the last week of school! 🍧🍭

Over the last three days, Cross Keys had the opportunity to serve three of our Ferg-Flor schools with snow cones and cotton candy for students and staff!

In just three days, more than 1,400 treats were passed out! We are so thankful for the opportunity to love and encourage our community in a simple but meaningful way as another school year comes to a close.

Please continue praying for the students, teachers, staff, and families across the Ferguson-Florissant School District this summer! ❤️

Last Sunday, we continued our series through the Book of Haggai with Part 2: “The Cost of Neglect.”

Through Haggai 1:5–11, we saw a sobering truth: when God’s glory becomes secondary in our lives, everything else begins to fall apart.

The people of Israel had spent years building comfortable lives for themselves while neglecting the rebuilding of God’s house. They were busy, active, and hardworking — yet they remained empty, frustrated, and unsatisfied because their priorities excluded God.

Haggai repeatedly calls the people to “consider your ways” — to honestly examine the direction of their lives and ask whether they truly wanted to continue down that road.

We were reminded of three powerful truths:
• Neglecting God leads to emptiness instead of fulfillment.
• God will not bless priorities that exclude Him.
• Spiritual neglect impacts more than we realize.

The problem was never simply the unfinished Temple — it was the condition of the people’s hearts. They wanted blessing without surrender, prosperity without obedience, and comfort without prioritizing God’s presence.

This message challenged us personally and as a church to ask hard questions:
Are we busy but spiritually empty?
Have we become comfortable with spiritual ruins?
Are we building our own kingdom more passionately than God’s Kingdom?

God’s conviction is not condemnation — it is an invitation to return to Him. He lovingly calls His people to repentance, renewal, and restored priorities.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…” — Matthew 6:33

May we be a people who put God back in His rightful place and rebuild our lives around His glory.
