CHURCH STARTS AT HOME
Next to attending “church”, as a Christian, your home should be where your obvious love for God dwells.
Everything you do as a family should bear the mark of God’s calling.
When people come in and out of your home it should feel like God is there!
When you pray with your family, read the Bible with your family and show family love and devotion you will create an atmosphere of worship in your home.
Children do by imitation and they love to copy what they see in others, especially their parents. Within every family there should be a little church.
Your home should be a place where God’s Word connects, convicts, and shows love in all things and all issues.
Life’s problems are not sent to bother you but to better you.
The goal is to motivate your family to hunger for God, so as a parent... be relaxed, patient, and creative.
You have heard it said, “The family that prays together stays together” and this is true but you also have to read together, play together, have family time and also attend church together.
Your family should learn about God, Heaven, the crucifixion, the resurrection and all things spiritual and physical from YOU, not someone outside the family.
Proverbs 1:8 says, “Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching”.
At the end of the day, a loving, Godly family should find everything is forgivable. Let them know that God's grace will enable them to ‘face the music' even if they don't like the tune!
Jesus didn’t promise security against life's storms, but He is perfect security when we go through them! “If we suffer with Him, we shall also reign with Him.” (2 Tim. 2:12).
