Our Missions Statement:
Sharing the Savior. Our Beliefs:
The Alliance is an evangelical Protestant denomination known for our distinctive history, our passion for world missions, and our international composition. For more than 120 years, the heart of The Alliance has been the Fourfold Gos

pel, which focuses on Jesus as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King. We hold a common desire to see every man, woman, and child experience a personal relationship with God in the fullness of Jesus Christ. Lost people matter to God. He wants them found. Luke 19:10
Prayer is the primary work of the people of God. Philippians 4:6-7
Everything we have belongs to God. We are only stewards. 1 Chronicles 29:14
Knowing and obeying God’s Word is fundamental to all true success. Joshua 1:8
Completing the Great Commission requires mobilizing every fully devoted disciple. Matthew 28:19
Without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, we can accomplish nothing. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
Achieving God’s purposes involves taking faith-filled risks; this always involves change. Hebrews 11:6

Our Church:
Florence Alliance Church was founded in 1988 with a home fellowship of only eight people. Growing steadily, we first rented facilities, and then acquired property on Cayton Road. 1994 saw the completion of our first building, and the following year we welcomed our current pastor, Bill Shutt. The most recent building addition brought our facility to the point where we offer a 200-seat sanctuary, classrooms, a fellowship hall with kitchen facilities, and playground. More importantly, there's always something going on in our congregation – opportunities to worship, learn, grow and fellowship. Our Denomination:
The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), began in 1884 as a missionary society under the inspiration and leadership of Dr. A. Simpson, who left the pastorate of a large Presbyterian church in New York City to concentrate on outreach. Dr. Simpson's vision and zeal to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ drew coworkers from many different Protestant denominations, and a powerful missions movement began. In 1974, after nearly a century of effort and church planting worldwide, the Alliance officially became a denomination. A detailed denominational history is available at on the Alliance website http://www.cmalliance.org/about/history/. Today the C&MA is a very international group, with over 13,600 churches in 81 countries! Alliance partners include four colleges and seminaries, camping and youth ministries, retirement communities, and our development branch. Our Pastor:
Pastor Bill Shutt has been the senior pastor at Florence Alliance Church since June, 1995. He is a graduate of Asbury College (B.A.) and Asbury Theological Seminary (M.Div.). Additionally, he served as pastor of Gravel Switch United Methodist Church while in seminary. Bill enjoys camping with his family, singing in a Barbershop chorus, and helping to coach his kid's sports teams. He and his wife, Rose, were married in 1986. They have three children. His greatest passion is to help people move closer to Jesus in their spiritual journey.

He is RISEN!!!

What a wonderful day of celebration we had at FAC today! The worship team and choir led us in praise to the King of kings in such a beautiful way.

We are also especially proud of our ‘Impact Youth Group’ and how well they did this morning in their presentation. They shared gifts of music, singing, and beautiful paintings as well. The Lord was surely glorified!!

Happy Resurrection Day, everyone!

Missions week at FAC was wonderful!!

What a joy it was to learn more about a different culture and to hear about how God is at work in other areas of the world. Missions week is always such an encouraging and edifying time.

We serve a great God and it is such a blessing to be unified with brothers and sisters in Christ all across the globe in one big family!!

A precious family in our community is enduring the pain of a tragic loss. Jenny Dim was 9 years old, had autism, and was non-verbal. The community, along with First Responders, showed up in droves to help search for her when she went missing. It is with heavy hearts that we received the news of Jenny's passing. She was found in a nearby pond, which was not the news that we hoped and prayed for. At times like these, we cannot make sense of such tragedy. We simply join the family and our community in mourning such a terrible loss.

Yesterday evening, we had the privilege of being part of the candlelight vigil that was held to surround this family with support and love. A big thank you to the young woman who organized this event and called the community together for such a time as this! Thank you for giving us at Florence Alliance Church the opportunity to stand with our community in support and love for this family. What a blessing it was to see so many come together for this cause.

Let us all remember to lift this family up in prayer. We pray for their comfort and peace in the days ahead. In saying that, we'd love to lift their burden in some way. One way to do this is by providing food. So, if anyone would like to donate restaurant gift cards to Jenny's family, we will be collecting gift card donations this coming Sunday, and we will see to it that the family receives them.
