First Baptist Church believes that as a family, we will grow together to know Jesus, to be more like Him, and to share Him with others. Our purpose is to worship, connect, develop, minister, and share. Loving God and loving others are the two most important things we can do. This purpose defines our family of faith. As we nurture healthy relationships with others, encouraging and supporting one an

other through the ups and downs of life, our lives are transformed, and we grow together to be more like Jesus. We will develop a life together as a family of faith, and nurture spiritual growth in ourselves and others. We know that you will develop long-lasting friendships here with your brothers and sisters in Christ, and we will lift each other up and glorify God together as a church. We strive to serve others as Jesus modeled, and joyfully proclaim the love of Jesus to others. We worship God by centering our lives in Him and responding to Him daily. As a family, we gather for worship on Sunday to focus on praising and honoring God through music, prayer, and message. Our goal is to participate and be transformed as we open ourselves to our Creator and Savior. Worship involves the whole person. Romans 12:1-2 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

It is our true desire that all who attend our church will experience the closest of friendships and a sense of belonging that only come from being a part of the Family of God. We have been truly blessed, and continue to be truly blessed as followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to lead unbelievers and believers to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ, and to become dedicated followers. We are here to bring God joy!
