Sometimes God uses the pause to preach the loudest message.
We had plans.
We had intentions.
We were ready to gather.
But the weather slowed everything down — not God.
And maybe this is the reminder our hearts needed today.
When life puts you on pause…
When plans are canceled…
When roads are closed and routines are disrupted…
#1 God is still first.
#2 God is still faithful.
#3 God is still near.
Nothing about this moment caught Him off guard.
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33
Putting God first isn’t about perfect conditions.
It’s about surrendered hearts.
It doesn’t take a sanctuary to worship.
It doesn’t take a crowd to pray.
It doesn’t take a schedule to trust Him.
Sometimes the storm outside is God’s way of quieting the noise inside —
slowing us down long enough to remember what matters most.
So if you’re stuck today…
Don’t see it as wasted time.
See it as sacred space.
Open His Word.
Lift your heart.
Speak His name over your home.
Because when God is first —
• peace overcomes panic
• faith silences fear
• hope rises even in uncertainty
And delays turn into divine appointments.
The roads may clearing and temps dropping which may cause ice.
but God’s direction is still clear.
And His grip on you has never loosened.
First things first. Always.
And when the weather passes and the roads are clear, we would truly love to have you come worship with us at Second Creek Church of Christ.
You’ll find a loving church family, open hearts, and a place where Jesus is always first.
Until then — stay safe, stay warm, and stay anchored in Him.
