I heard this over the weekend:

“The past doesn’t haunt us; we haunt the past.”

So often, we choose to remember, dwell on, and keep alive the things that God is calling us to leave behind. We allow the dead things of yesterday to continue influencing our lives today.

**Let it go.** Release the past and trust God with your present and your future. What is behind you no longer has to define you. Give it to God, and allow Him to lead you into what He has ahead.
