Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Today we give thanks for the hard work, dedication, and many gifts God has given each of us to serve our families, our communities, and one another.

As we enjoy a day of rest, may we also remember that even in our busiest seasons, God invites us to find rest in Him. ❤️

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and blessed Labor Day! 🙏🏼

Apologies once again for the issues with our Facebook stream this morning - it looks like we are still struggling to keep Facebook connected. The good news is that once again the entire stream came through on our YouTube channel. As we work on these technical issues, remember that if the stream cuts off on Facebook there is a good chance it has continued on YouTube and on our website. Here’s the link to this morning’s service in our YouTube channel:

🌧️☔ A little rain couldn’t stop Court Street! 🥞🔔🏃‍♀️

We may have gotten off to a slow start thanks to the weather, but our runners, walkers, and volunteers didn’t let it dampen the day! Court Streeters stayed out cheering, ringing cowbells, and supporting our community until the very last participant made their way past us. ❤️

And of course, no rainy morning is complete without pancakes! 🥞

We’re so grateful for everyone who showed up, stuck around, and helped make the day such a fun one. Rain or shine, we love showing up for our community! ❤️

🧸🏃 Come run with Court Street at the Teddy Bear Trot! 🏃‍♀️🧸

The CRIM Festival of Races Teddy Bear Trot is almost here, and we’d love to have even more of our Court Street kids join in the fun this year! ❤️

📅 Saturday, August 22
⏰ Race begins at 12:00 PM
📍 Starts at Flint City Hall and heads down the bricks of Saginaw Street
🚗 Parking is available in the Court Street UMC lot

Every year there are Court Street children/youth who take part in the CRIM Festival of Race’s Teddy Bear Trot. This year, on Saturday, August 22nd, the race starts at City Hall (a couple of blocks from our parking lot) and runs down the bricks on Saginaw Street. We have children from 1 to 12 years old registered and would love to have more experience the fun! Adults/older youth can race with them. Registration is open online at crim.org or on race day at City Hall. If you are interested or have questions please contact the church office at 810-235-4651.

We hope to see you there! 🧸
