Salem Lutheran Church

Salem Lutheran Church Welcome to Salem Lutheran Church Flint, Michigan. Like our page to connect with congregation members. We have a taste of heaven in this life.

Today we worship an average of 60 and some Sundays it goes up to as many as 90. Our membership rolls have not grown like in a typical Lutheran Church Style yet our worship indicates growth. Many who come to worship in the neighborhood believe they are members of this Church even though they were not received so, anyway, did you read anything in the Bible about Jesus receiving members through class

es, or when they came to Him became his followers immediately? At worship we have people from many backgrounds: white, African American, Native American, Biracial, African. We are strengthened by the words from the Book of Revelation…I saw many people from many nations around the throne of God, yes that is us. Worship With Communion - 10:30 am
Sunday School & Adult Class - 9:40 am

Happy Easter! Today at Salem, with the sun streaming through the stained glass window, we were reminded of the empty tomb and the risen Christ on that first Easter. We decorated that empty cross with beautiful flowers and watched the kids joyfully hunt for goodie-filled eggs after the service was over. Hallelujah! Christ is risen!

This sunset Friday evening along Flushing's Riverwalk was beautiful for a few fleeting moments. More beautiful would have been the beauty of the sunrise on that first Easter morning when the two Marys discovered the empty tomb. Join us at Salem tomorrow morning for breakfast at 9.15 and for a service at 10.30 to celebrate the good news of Jesus' resurrection. Flowers will be provided to pin to the empty cross or bring a favorite flower of your own.
