Grateful for the many hands, feet, and strong backs that came out this past Saturday. The center is definitely giving a "Spring has Sprung" vibe and we are here for it!!

Shout out to Kylie McLaren and those who showed up to work at Swartz Creek Church of The Nazarene with the sorting of new donations as well as recently laundered items. For the first time we welcomed the crew from Church of the Nazarene led by Fromwiller and Scott (but it will not be the last). These folks did the heavy lifting of mving inventory from the center to the offsite storage and back, while others organized flip flops, bathing suits and summer clothes. A few housekeeping items around the building were taken care with some exciting discussions on more projects this summer!!

At the end of the day our bodies were tired and our hearts were full!

Individuals and groups of all sizes are always welcome. Reach out via messenger if you’d like to schedule a time to volunteer.

This one is from the archives! Originally recorded and posted six years ago today. It was two weeks into the pandemic shut down, a time of uncertainty when there were more questions than answers. We are resharing today because her message still holds true!

Take a moment and once again join Kylie in her kitchen with her littles doing face plants in their oatmeal, a couple of fur babies waiting for treats, “pandemic hair”, and a song. Watch to the end and remember you are not alone, and in times of uncertainity we cannot let our eyes get used to darkness…we need to put our hope in what is true.

Fresh foot prints in the snow of two moms and a dad who took the bus and then walked from the bus stop to the center last week. 💜

We know the need is great in our community when the snow comes and the temps dip into single digits and still they come. When cars won’t start so moms and dads get on the bus and walk from the bus stop to the center. If you support us financially, please know you are helping to fill a real need in the families we serve.

To the families with appointments this week. We have seen the weather forecast calling for frigid temps and snow. Know that we will be here, your order will be ready, beep and we will run it out to your car or if you walk, just ring the door bell. If you need to come early or are running late just send us a message here to let us know.

While the center is closed for a bit -so that our staff can spend quality time with family and friends (possibly even rest a bit)- we are still working behind the scenes. January appointments began to open last weekend and the 2nd week of January will open later tonight!! Please note that because the center is closed-please hold off on all physical donations of clothing, etc. until after we return on Tuesday the 6th. We appreciate all of you and look forward to returning after our break- well rested, energized, and ready to serve!

As we head into the final weeks of 2025, we want to share some of the kind words we've received recently from the families we serve. We are touched by these notes and we do not take them for granted. We don't know what is in store for the families in our community in 2026 but we do know we will be there to walk along side and will continue to offer hope by providing barrier free resources. We can not do it alone. We know it takes many hands..some to work, some to pray, and some to give financially. If you would like to support us financially you can do so in a variety of ways at: www.littlelambscmc.org/donate

A message from our Executive Director: Reverend Dawn Hamblin Ramirez

“As we step into the start of the holiday season, knowing that it may mean something different to each of us and also knowing it will bring a little extra to all of our schedules and a bit of chaos for most, I wanted to take a moment to reflect. So, like many school children, I too have created a Little Lamb’s CMC “Plate of Thanksgiving”.

What are we thankful for? The answer is simple…it’s You. All of you.

To the Volunteers: Those who came every week-who stepped up beyond expectations when health issues struck- ensuring every appointment was kept and need met and to the Groups (both new and returning) who committed to more than a date in the calendar but who came and worked and listened and learned and who took back what they experienced and shared it with others. I am thankful.

To our Community & Ministry Partners: The churches, the schools, the businesses who supported us through their people, collections of requested items, space when needed, and financial support. I am thankful.

To the Individual Donors of Items- whether it be the family who cleaned out their kid’s closet, the mother who returned what we provided months before, or those with grown children who used their “deal finding” gifts to purchase items most requested. I am thankful.

To the Individual Donors of Financial Support:
Those who donated on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis creating a solid foundation we could depend upon to keep the lights on and the doors open. I am thankful
Those who, by their own words, “have been given much and wish to give back”. Whether they dropped off a check or an envelope because we were on their heart or they gave through the sale of stock, they provided gifts which create the ability for us to do more, to dream big and to plan for the future. I am thankful

To our own families who support us in what we do, to the others in the community who are working just as hard on behalf of the families we serve. While the need is great it is comforting to know we are not in this alone and there are others who have similar visions of what our community can be. I am thankful.

Finally, to the families we serve. Who work harder for and love their children and family deeper than words can express. We see you! We are humbled that you have entrusted us with the opportunity to walk along side of you, to be apart of your community and I am forever thankful.

If there is one thing that 2025 proved it is how interdependent we are on one another, just how much we are truly “Better Together”.

God Bless.
-Pastor Dawn”

-Pastor Dawn"

For close to 8 years , the first Saturday of November has meant being flooded with the sounds of youth arriving at our center ready to work!! They have made blankets, distributed food, trimmed trees, raked leaves and have been the main reason we are able to provide our winter outerwear to families the first week of November. Shout out to the teens and their chaperones from Central Church of the Nazarene - Flint, East Flint Church of the Nazarene East Flint Students, Eastside Church of The Nazarene, Family Community Church of the Nazarene and those behind the event.

Barrier Free Resource Since 2005

We envision communities without margins where families flourish. We know need has no zip code and we commit to walking alongside families with children, offering hope by providing barrier free resources.
