What a time we had tonight during VBS Orientation. We thank God for such a wonderful and dedicated team of workers all coming together to serve through VBS! And a special thanks to Dr. Bobbie Motley, VBS Director and Sis. Zarria Read, Assistant Director for their hand work, organization, and vision. We sooooo amped to get this year’s VBS off and running! 🙏🏽

Our hearts were saddened to hear about the passing of Sister Mattie Truss. Sis. Truss was a beloved member of Mt. Calvary for many years. Until her health failed, Sis. Truss was very active in the music ministry, with Vacation Bible School, the Mission ministry, and Church School. She played a quiet, but impactful role within the church and possessed a solemn spirit for worship. She will be sorely missed.

Family Hour will take place at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Mt. Calvary, with funeral services commencing at 11:00 am. Pastor Fuller will deliver the eulogy. Calling hours are 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. The final resting place for Sis. Truss will be Lovedale Cemetery, Burton, MI.

To the Truss family: we keep you lifted in prayer. May God's perfect peace fall on you during this difficult time of bereavement.
