We are accepting necessary clothing and toiletry items for those affected by the apartments fires in Mundy Twp Sunday night. 12 apartments were a total loss. Ages range from 6-84. Please wash clothes in hypoallergenic detergent, no used undergarments or lingerie please. When you arrive go to the Beach Street parking lot (starred location on the image). Drop off times 9-5 today, Wednesday, and Thursday. Friday 9-2. Ring the bell and ask for Rob. For a specific drop off time after 5 these days, please reach out by direct message in advance.

If you are interested in donating larger items, we cannot accept them at this location, but we will work with you and the apartment complex to coordinate how to get these items to those affected.

Hazardous air quality due to wildfire smoke is impacting Genesee County.

A statewide Air Quality Alert has been issued for Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17, 2026. AQI level was Hazardous (Maroon) in Flint as of 10 a.m. and is expected to stay at or above the Very Unhealthy (Purple) range through Friday.

Residents are advised to remain indoors, keep activity levels low, and follow guidelines for keeping indoor air as clean as possible by keeping smoke out of your home and filtering indoor air.

When you can’t avoid wildfire smoke, the best mask to use is a tight-fitting N95 or P100 respirator marked with “NIOSH.” If those are unavailable or do not fit well, KN95 and KF94 respirators are an option.
