Fletcher United Methodist Church Our mission at Fletcher UMC is to glorify God by actively growing and serving God's family through worship, education, fellowship and outreach. Raphael Patty.

Fletcher United Methodist Church had its start in 1856 at Patty's Chapel, about a mile and a half from the church's present location, named after Rev. Our current sanctuary, at 50 Library Road, was built in 1928 at a cost of $15,000. The land was donated by the Poteat family, who were members of the church. The first expansion took place in 1948. In 1965, our weekday kindergarten program began, a

much needed service in the community. Our education wing to the church, where our current Sonshine Preschool is located, was built under a Duke Endowment fund in 1969. We have recently had the blessing of dedicating a new Sanctuary and office wing in 2018.

This weekend at Fletcher UMC: On Saturday from 10am - 2pm, all Fletcher UMC folks are invited to get your picture made for our new pictorial directory! Then join us for Super Sunday with "Soup"er Bowl of Caring collection of non-perishable food for Calvary Food Pantry at morning worship and a Soup Potluck from 5pm until halftime of the Big Game in the Fellowship Hall. See you then!

We missed Pastor Julie who unfortunately had to stay home due to illness, but Belinda Winkle and Rev. Dr. Stephen Ray did a wonderful job filling in!
