One of the anthems of Mt. Olivet in recent years has been the song, "This is the Place." Today, we will live out many of the song's verses as we worship and pray together. As we welcome new members through baptism. As we say goodbye to the world's most "Okayest" pastor (he has a mug to prove it), Bro. John. And then, in good church tradition, we eat!

This past Wednesday, our Mo's Kids made Resurrection Rolls! As we baked, we learned how Jesus was sent to Earth to teach us how to love, obey, and live. We reflected on His sacrifice for our sins and the joy of His resurrection: a gift that means we, too, can live with Him again.

3/3 Mo's Kids agreed... these yummy treats would make the perfect Easter Sunday breakfast! We've included more information below if you'd like to try them with your family before joining us as we celebrate our Risen Savior at 10am!

💜 The Symbolism:
Marshmallow: Jesus’s perfect, sinless body.

Butter & Spices: The oil and spices used to prepare Him for burial.

Dough: The cloth He was wrapped in and the tomb He was laid in.

The Oven: The three days He spent in the tomb before rising.

🥐 How to Make Them:
Prep: Divide crescent dough into individual triangles.

Coat: Dip a marshmallow in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar.

Wrap: Wrap the marshmallow tightly in the dough, pinching edges to seal it completely shut.

Bake: Place on a pan lined with parchment paper and sprayed with baking spray. Bake at 375°F for 16–18 minutes until golden.

The Miracle: Let them cool for 10 minutes. When you bite in, the marshmallow has disappeared and the roll is empty... just like the tomb!

We celebrate Easter because Jesus overcame death. Because of Him, we can find joy, seek forgiveness, and look forward to being resurrected ourselves. We love because He first loved us! 🧡

Matthew West recently made the statement that Easter isn't something we just celebrate, but something that we prepare our hearts for. I like that.
