Saturday evening we’re doing something a little different. 🍽️

Starting at 5:00 pm, join us for our first Table Talk— a shared evening of cooking together, eating together, learning together, and closing with communion. We'll do it again in July and in August, same format, same spirit.

Here's how it works: some folks come early to help cook. Others help set up. When the meal is ready, we stand, hold hands, and pray before we sit down. On the tables there'll be conversation questions — not icebreakers, but real ones, tied to the evening's theme. We eat, we talk, we listen. After the meal, there's a short teaching time. Then communion. Then we clean up together and go home. Start to finish: about two and a half hours.

The three evenings will follow a simple arc — The Word in June, The Spirit in July, and Our Work in August. Big themes, handled practically, with room to ask honest questions and say what you actually think.

We will be making a pasta dinner with salad and dessert. Mark your calendars for this fun event this Saturday night! 🍝

What a wonderful morning! On this sunny morning, we had a donation truck for Opportunity House in the church parking lot. THANK YOU to everyone who brought something for this Fill the Truck event! We had a line of cars with donations AND filled two whole trucks!! 🚚🚚

We also had our graduate recognition slideshow during the service (you can find it on YouTube for this morning). 🎓 And we enjoyed the last day of Sunday school with some Rita’s after the service! 🍦

We are grateful for our wonderful community of faith!

We have two big and new events coming up in June!! Both faith-filled and interactive ways to grow in your faith.

The first is called Table Talk, a fun and interactive time of fellowship and learning together. The second is called Jammin’ with Jesus, a youth event geared towards helping kids (and adults) navigate the hardships we face.

🍽️ June 13 - 5:00 pm: Table Talk — A Summer Dinner Series at Christ Mertz
This summer, we're going to try something a little different. On Saturday, June 13th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., join us for our first Table Talk— a shared evening of cooking together, eating together, learning together, and closing with communion.

The three evenings will follow a simple arc — The Word in June, The Spirit in July, and Our Work in August. Big themes, handled practically, with room to ask honest questions and say what you actually think.

More details to follow — but for now, mark the date and plan to come. If you'd like to help cook or set up, let the church office know. We'd love the help.

🍓 June 14 - 10:30 am: Jammin’ with Jesus
Let’s get our jam on as we learn about the power and importance of praying through the struggles of daily life.

Join us on Sunday June 14 for a fun, stress-relieving activity as we talk about the reality of navigating hardship and trials in our own lives. Kids will roll up their sleeves and assist with making a batch of strawberry jam as we discuss the Psalms and their continued relevance today. The power of praying through hard times, like King David did, and giving our worries to God. Trials and tribulations, though unpleasant, can often be transformative moments in our lives where God is refining us to be better images of Him. So let’s jam with Jesus for an afternoon! It’s bound to be a sweet time!

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them. (Acts 2:1-4)
