I’ll be honest—when I was an atheist, the whole idea of Jesus dying on the cross almost felt… silly to me.

I remember thinking:
“If He’s really God… if He really has all this power… why not just stop it?”
Why suffer? Why be beaten, mocked, crucified… if He could have walked away at any moment?

It didn’t make sense. It felt unnecessary. Even weak.

But everything changed when I actually started seeking the answer instead of dismissing the question.

Because the truth is—He didn’t have to go to the cross.
That’s exactly what makes it powerful.

He chose it.

Not out of obligation. Not out of defeat.
But out of love.

A love that absorbs injustice instead of returning it.
A love that takes on sin, shame, and brokenness—willingly.
A love that says, “I’ll take your place.”

And when you really begin to understand why Jesus died… it’s not silly at all.
It’s overwhelming. It’s humbling. It changes everything.

If you’ve ever wrestled with that question—Why did Jesus have to die?—or even if you’ve written it off like I once did, I want to invite you into a conversation, not an argument.

We’re starting Week 3 of Alpha: “Why Did Jesus Die?”

No pressure. No perfect people. Just real questions, honest thoughts, and space to explore something deeper.

This invitation isn’t for people who have it all figured out.
It’s for the skeptics.
The question-askers.
The ones who are curious but cautious.
The ones who’ve been hurt by church, confused by religion, or unsure what to believe about faith at all.
Alpha is a course that simply introduces Jesus — who He is, what He actually taught, and why millions choose to follow Him. Not what culture says about Christianity. Not what bad examples have distorted. Just Jesus.
This is a space where questions are welcome.
Doubt isn’t shamed. Conversations are honest.
You don’t have to agree.
You don’t have to believe.
You don’t have to pretend.
If you’re someone with an open mind and a curious heart, you’re invited.
And if this isn’t you—but you know someone who wrestles with faith, religion, church, or Christianity—consider inviting them. These conversations matter.
No pressure. No expectations.
Just space to explore who Jesus is and why He still matters.
We’ll meet every other Monday, starting end of February for 8 sessions. Each focused on a different topic, with room to think, challenge, and discuss openly. Completely free and available to any and everyone.

It feels like our nation is being pulled apart at the seams.
Everywhere you look, it’s us vs. them, right vs. left, good vs. evil.
Everyone is yelling. Everyone is convinced they’re right.
And somehow, in the middle of all that noise, we’re expected to sort out what’s true, what’s good, and what actually matters.

I’ve noticed something interesting:
In all this division, a lot of people are quietly asking deeper questions.
Questions about morality. About truth. About meaning. About whether there really is good and evil—or if it’s all just opinion now.

If the state of our world has sparked curiosity in you about Jesus—
Who He really is, what He taught, and why so many people still follow Him—
I want to invite you to Alpha.

Alpha isn’t a sermon. It’s not a debate club. It’s not about winning arguments or forcing beliefs.
It’s a space to ask honest questions, wrestle with big ideas, and explore faith without pressure or judgment.

You don’t have to believe.
You don’t have to agree.
You just have to be curious.
