Sometimes the hardest part of healing is taking the first step.
We may know that a relationship is strained. We may know that someone is lonely. We may even sense God placing a particular person on our heart. Yet we wait—hoping someone else will make the first move.
Jesus gives us one simple word: “Go.”
Go and have the conversation.
Make the phone call.
Check on the person you have not seen lately.
Reach out to the one who may feel forgotten.
We cannot control how another person will respond, but we can choose to act in love.
Perhaps this week God is not asking you to do something great. Perhaps God is simply bringing one person to your mind.
Who is that person?
Don’t ignore the prompting. One conversation, one call, or one visit may become God’s doorway to healing.

Jesus says, “Follow me.” Paul reminds us what that following can look like when life becomes difficult.
Following Jesus is not only about the direction of our feet; it is also about the direction of our hearts. There will be moments when anger feels easier than patience, holding a grudge feels easier than letting go, or walking away feels easier than showing grace.
In those moments, Jesus still says, “Follow me.”
Taking up our cross may be as close as the next decision we make—the decision not to let another person’s actions determine our character.
Paul says, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
So here is a simple question for the rest of this week:

When I face a difficult moment, will my response follow my feelings—or will it follow Jesus?

Sometimes we recognize God’s grace most clearly when we look back.

Psalm 124 begins with the powerful words, “If it had not been the LORD who was on our side…” The psalmist remembers moments when life could have turned out very differently. Yet through it all, God was present.

We all carry memories of difficult seasons—moments of fear, disappointment, loss, sickness, or uncertainty. Some experiences even leave scars. But those scars can become reminders, not only of what happened to us, but of who carried us through it.

Grace does not mean that nothing painful will happen. Grace means that when life becomes more than we can handle alone, we are not alone.

Perhaps today you can look back over your own journey and say with the psalmist:

“Our help is in the name of the LORD.”

The same God who held you yesterday is holding you today. And whatever tomorrow brings, you can trust that His grace will still be there.

Unity is easy to celebrate but sometimes difficult to practice. We are different people—with different experiences, opinions, personalities, and expectations. Yet God does not ask us to become the same; God calls us to walk together in love.

Sometimes unity begins with something very simple: listening instead of arguing, forgiving instead of holding a grudge, reaching out instead of waiting for someone else to make the first move.

This week, ask yourself: Is there someone I need to reach toward rather than pull away from?

When we choose love over division and Christ over our differences, unity becomes more than a beautiful idea—it becomes a blessing we experience and share.
