Today we celebrate Pastor Mark Kipfmiller's 40th anniversary of his ministry and his commitment to remaining faithful to the Word of God in its entirety.
Pastor Kipfmiller began his training for the public ministry in 1973, when he attended Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, MI. Upon graduating in 1977, he attended Northwestern College in Watertown, WI which served as the Wisconsin Synod's training college for ministers. Upon finishing his undergraduate education in 1981, he then completed his pastoral training at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. In 1985 he graduated from the Seminary and began his public ministry while also marrying his wife, Donna, on October 12th. Today marks their 40th wedding anniversary as well.
Pastor Kipfmiller first served at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI as associate pastor. After three and a half years, he was then called to First Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, WI, ministering there from 1989 to 1997. Pastor Kipfmiller then accepted the call to serve at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Flat Rock, MI. He has since served the congregation here for 28 years, while also assisting sister congregations like Faith Lutheran Church and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, both in Monroe, MI.
Pastor Kipfmiller has always made it a point to preach both Law and Gospel, continually pointing people to Jesus Christ as their only hope for salvation with God. Teaching Bible Class has been a continual emphasis of his ministry, as he helps his members grow in grace and knowledge of the Scirptures.
We are forever grateful and thank God for all His continual blessings to our congregation through the ministry of Pastor Kipfmiller. The Lord has used Pastor Kipfmiller to be a blessing to countless people and congregations over the past 40 years, and we pray He continually bless Pastor Kipfmiller, his family, and his ministry.
