May 24, 2026 is Pentecost Sunday which is celebrated 50 days after Easter Sunday. Pentecost is a major Christian holiday and commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the birth of the Christian Church. Known as the "birthday of the church," Pentecost marks the event where the Holy Spirit filled the disciples, enabling them to speak in different languages and boldly share the Gospel.
Red is the traditional color symbolizing the "tongues of fire" described in the biblical account.
