Good morning! These pictures show what it looked like at 7:15 today in Garretson. Not a blizzard at this point, but it is quite sheltered here. No one is driving anywhere and most churches have canceled.
Facebook posted on this page that today is Our Savior’s 6th anniversary of opening this account. 6 years ago was when most of us in leadership in the church realized it was necessary to pivot to some kind of online worship due to Covid restrictions. Many of us had no experience whatsoever in this area! My exchange student and I went next door to the church and she videoed my attempt to go through the service by myself on her iPhone. We edited it and then posted.
Was it great? No, but it was very much appreciated. To my surprise, we continued to post services even after we opened back up, only then we just went with Facebook Live.
At 9:30 today, I will go live on this page with a shortened worship.
