This week, we welcomed Pastor Berry back to the pulpit!

With the end of his sabbatical, we are back in the Book of Acts.

Gospel ministry was never meant to be done alone. In Acts 18, we meet Aquila and Priscilla, who opened their home and their lives to support Paul's mission. We see the Macedonian churches sacrificially giving so the gospel could go forward. We even see Sosthenes, once a fierce opponent of Paul, transformed by Christ and later named alongside Paul in 1 Corinthians 1.

Jesus saves the most unlikely people!

What does it look like for you to be a gospel partner right where you are? Whether through generosity, hospitality, friendship, or simply showing up, every believer has a role in the mission Jesus has given his church: That as he has sent us out, we are to preach the Gospel, make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to do all the Lord has commanded.

Join us as we continue our journey through Acts and discover how God uses ordinary, faithful people to build something extraordinary. "I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18)

Where do you turn when life feels out of control? We all want wisdom, but are we looking for it in the right places?

This week in Ecclesiastes 9, we were reminded that no amount of human ingenuity, education, or self-sufficiency can solve our deepest problem. Death and the curse of sin lie beyond our reach. Yet God, in His mercy, works through weakness to accomplish what power never could.

The cross of Christ looks like foolishness to the world. But as Paul declares in 1 Corinthians 1, the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. True wisdom is not found in the powerful and prominent. It is found in a crucified Savior and an empty tomb.

Come hear how God's seemingly weak wisdom shames the strong, and why the fear of the Lord is still the beginning of true wisdom.

Life is more broken than we think, and more precious than we enjoy. That tension sits at the heart of Ecclesiastes 9, and it is one worth sitting with.

The same fate comes for all of us. Death is inescapable, evil is unavoidable, and no amount of self-improvement, religious observance, or political ideology can fix the core problem, because the problem lives inside us. Biblical wisdom does not flinch from that reality.

But here is where Scripture takes a different turn than despair. Because Jesus Christ defeated death, this life is not meaningless. It is a gift from a God who approves and delights in your enjoyment of it. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might (Ecclesiastes 9:10).

Life is passing. Press into it, not to escape death, but because God has given you something worth living for: Christ!

What does it mean that Jesus is supreme over all things? In Colossians 1:15-20, we see that Christ is not just a part of creation. He is its creator, sustainer, and redeemer. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, and the one in whom all things hold together.

But the glory of this passage does not stop at creation. The same Christ who spoke the universe into existence descended to the lowest place imaginable: a cross, in order to reconcile sinners like us back to God. He bore our griefs, carried our sorrows, and rose from the grave as the firstborn from the dead, inaugurating a new creation that will one day be made complete.

Our identity is not found in what we have accomplished. It is found entirely in who He is and what He has done. Come worship King Jesus with us.
