This group is intended to reach a group of individuals who are leaving the church at an alarming rate. Young adults ranging in age from 18-35 are often the smallest group within a church body. What is sad about this fact is that these are the very people who are making major life decisions that will shape their future and the future of spouses as well as children. What we have envisioned is a plac
e of love and a family atmosphere where we can all grow in Christ together. We have programs which start at 9:00 each Sunday morning as we host a coffee shop with fresh muffins, cinnamon rolls, sausage & biscuit, and several types of coffee. We follow this with a Sunday School class designed just for young adults and an atmosphere of sharing without condemnation. We have a celebration the first Wednesday of the month for birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. We also have a light snack on all other Wednesday nights. We follow our refreshments with Praise and Worship followed by a message or a group discussion. We end each Wednesday with a time of prayer. There is also a planned activity each month which include activities such as, bowling, sports parks, game nights, and movie nights. We are very excited about the opportunity God has given this group, and we are amazed at the changes we are seeing in the lives of the group. We encourage anyone who does not have a church home to please visit anytime. In closing I will share a statement I once heard. It doesn't matter to us, skinny, fat, short, or tall we don't care we will love you all.
