The Passing of the Torch 🔥🇬🇷
At Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, our annual Greek Festival is built on faith, family, hard work, and the dedication of generations of volunteers who have lovingly shared our traditions with the community.
We are proud to announce that Liam Gianakis will be taking over many of the festival kitchen responsibilities from his father, Larry Gianakis, Jr., continuing a family legacy of service that has helped make our festival such a success.
Pictured on the sign are three men who have played an important role in the festival kitchen throughout the years: Herb Pratt, Larry Gianakis, Jr.,and James Woovis—the “OG Crew” whose countless hours of hard work, experience, and commitment have helped build the foundation of our beloved festival.
For many years, Liam has worked side-by-side with his parents and siblings, learning the traditions, recipes, and values that make our festival so special. From an early age, he has been a familiar face in the kitchen and around the festival grounds, helping wherever needed and embracing the spirit of service that defines our parish family.
This moment is more than a change in leadership, it is a beautiful example of one generation passing its knowledge and dedication to the next. We are grateful for the years of service given by Larry, Herb, and James, and we are excited to see Liam continue their legacy with the same passion, commitment, and love for Holy Trinity.
Please join us in congratulating Liam as he takes up the apron and carries this tradition forward. The future of our festival is bright!
