**HELP NEEDED**

As some of you may have heard there was a devastating house fire on Hankey Mountain Highway on Christmas Eve. The fire resulted in a complete loss of the entire house. The only thing that is left is the foundation.

The family that lived in this house was the Morrison’s. Lew and Lisa Morrison built this house themselves 21 years ago. It was a beautiful log home. They had two children grow up in that home that are around our age. The daughter still lives at home with her parents.

This family also helps out in the community. Have you ever seen the welcome sign coming into Churchville? They made and hand painted that.

We will be taking up monetary donations for this family. This way they can use it for what ever their immediate needs may be. We will be taking up donations from now to the end of January.

Please keep this family in your hearts, minds and prayers as they have a hard journey ahead rebuilding their lives.

Friends, some of our churches have made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel Christmas Eve services today. Frozen pipes, power outages, and struggling heat systems are among the causes. Check with your nearby United Methodist Church to get updates. Some churches are offering online worship celebrations for Christmas Eve.
