Founded in Indianapolis in 1926 by Syrian Christian immigrants, the parish quickly became a home to Orthodox Christians of a number of ethnic backgrounds. ed of 'converts,' who have come to the Orthodox Faith, rather than being raised in it, or who have no ancestry from a traditionally Orthodox land. We worship in English, as our common language, 'spiced' with bits of various languages in celebration of all our heritages and for ministering to some recent immigrants.
