When has community shown up for you in a way you didn't expect?

10/02/2026

God, thank you for community that holds us up. Help us be that for someone else this weekend. Amen.

What a beautiful day at our Women’s Retreat, Trusting God's Presence in Every Season! 💕 100 plus women gathered to worship, connect, encourage one another, and enjoy time together.
We were reminded that whatever season we’re in, God is at work—and we never walk through it alone.

Thank you to our speakers, praise band, pastors, staff, planning committee, volunteers, and especially every woman who joined us. We’re so grateful for a wonderful day together!

Here are a few glimpses from the day.

Lord, forgive us for the times we've tried to go it alone. Remind us we weren't made for isolation. Amen.

Ecclesiastes says a cord of three strands isn't easily broken. Who's a "third strand" in your life, someone who wasn't always close to you but has become an anchor? Tag them if you're feeling brave.

God, thank you for the people who help us up when we can't get up ourselves. Weave us together this week. Amen.

Friends, I wrote this last year on the occasion of the remembrance of September 11. I would like to share again as we approach 20 years since this tragic day. We will have a moment of remembrance tomorrow at GeistFest

Grace and peace,
Danny

We experienced the best and the worst of humanity. We saw the worst in those who flew planes into buildings, believing they were doing God’s will. We saw the best in those who gave of themsel…
