Serve & Strike Saturday was a success! 🎳🙌

We spent the morning folding and prepping bags for the Stamp Out Hunger food drive, helping set the stage for donations that will support the Delaware Township Food Pantry and families across Fishers.

Then it was time to celebrate with some bowling fun! 🎉

There were some great moments—Claire came out strong, Isabella took the win in game two, Marty had his best first five frames ever, and Evelyn kept things fun with bumpers and dino-bowl (and even hit a 67 at one point and we all thought of Hadley👀).

And yes… despite past bowling league experience, Ruth took home the lowest score of the day 😄 to be the winner of the losers!

But the real win? The impact of the service project. These bags will help bring in food donations for those who need it most.

So proud of this group. 💙

Bonus: video of Marty with the gutter ball dance

Serve & Strike Saturday – End-of-Year Youth Outing

Youth Group will gather on Saturday, April 18 from 10:30 AM–2:30 PM for a day of service and celebration. Drop-off will be at the church, and pick-up will be at Pinheads. Bowling costs are covered by Youth Group funds, and the event is open to current youth and incoming 7th graders. Please complete the RSVP form to attend and submit lunch orders. Contact Ruth Everett, youth director, at [email protected] with any questions.

Last Sunday, Holy Family welcomed Jack Chamberlain, an intern with the diocesan office for youth ministry, for a special visit during youth formation and worship.

During formation, the Youth Group began a new seven-week series, “Who Is Jesus?” The first lesson, “Jesus Is the Resurrection and the Life,” centered on the story of Lazarus. Together, the group explored themes of grief, hope, and the reality that God answers prayer—though not always in the timing we expect.

During worship, Jack shared about his next steps as he prepares to enter seminary in Texas on the path toward ordained ministry. He also spoke about his work beyond the church, including his ministry with Anglican prayer beads.

We are grateful for Jack’s time, his thoughtful leadership, and the ways he encouraged both our youth and our congregation.

Last night our Youth Group gathered around the table for an Agape Meal — a time of prayer, scripture, music, and sharing food together as the early church did. Agape means self-giving love, and the evening was a beautiful reminder that faith is something we live out together in community.

Between candlelight, bread, olives, grapes, and conversation, we shared a simple meal and reflected on the love that Christ calls us to show one another.

At the end of the evening, one of our youth and one of our adult leaders added their handprints to the Youth Group wall, joining the many hands that have come before them. Each handprint is a reminder that everyone who walks through our doors leaves a mark on this community.

Grateful for nights like these filled with faith, fellowship, and belonging. 💛

Thankful to all who attended this evening, for the youth that prepped and helped keep things going, and of course, for all that people that shopped, cooked, and cleaned up after it all! 💜💛💚

Youth Group adventure = SUCCESS. 🙌

Today we jumped, climbed, competed, laughed (a lot), and maybe unlocked a few hidden ninja skills at Activate! 💥

The leaderboard was intense. The lights were wild. The competition was real. And yes… we definitely burned approximately 67,000 calories each. 😎

Then we refueled like champions at Twisters and Chick-fil-A — because strong bodies and strong friendships require protein, fries, and oversized colorful drinks.

Strong bodies. Strong friendships. Full stomachs.
10/10 Youth Group Outing. 💛

This past weekend, Jolene and Ruth participated in the Hatch-a-thon with the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis. Together with leaders from across the diocese, they reflected on data gathered from parents, named real challenges families are facing, and brainstormed faithful, hope-filled ways the Church can better support parents and caregivers. Grateful for the creativity, collaboration, and shared vision. 💙🦞
