Ever notice how you expect God to show up the same way every time? In the wilderness, God provided manna, day after day, the same way. But the moment His people crossed into new land, that provision looked completely different. Same faithful God, brand new way of showing up.

What's a season where God provided for you in a way you didn't expect?

Nobody goes to war alone — and that's exactly the point. 🛡️

A veteran who served in Baghdad shared something this weekend that reframed everything: the armor of God isn't just for you. It was designed for an army. And just like you'd never send a soldier on a solo patrol, we were never meant to fight against darkness by ourselves.

We need each other. Battle buddies. A community that shows up, stands firm, and fights together — locally and globally.

Who's someone in your life that's been a battle buddy for you? Drop their name in the comments — let's honor them. 👇

Nobody was built to go it alone. God didn't just save us individually; He put us together on purpose, for a purpose. First Corinthians 12 makes it clear: every part of the body matters, every person has a role, and we're all equipped by Him for something bigger than ourselves. You have a place in this. Who's walking alongside you right now?

Most of us know exactly what we need. The doing-it part is where things fall apart.

Beth Montgomery, our Communications Director, wrote something honest about showing up scared to a Womens Bible study she almost talked herself out of, and what happened when she kept going anyway. It's about loneliness, emptier nests, Pilates, and why the first yes is always the hardest one.

The armor of God wasn't designed to be worn alone. It's issued for an army, believers who stand together and do life side by side.
Who would you call at 2AM when everything falls apart? Who would you trust to watch your kids? Who would grieve with you, pray with you, and ask you the hard questions? Those aren't small things. Those are your battle buddies. Do you have them?

Ever done something you're pretty sure disqualifies you? David did — more than once. Turns out missing the mark isn't the end of the story; grace is always the next line. This week we're unpacking what sin actually is (and isn't), and why hope is never off the table, no matter how bold the mess-up.

What's your first instinct when you know you've messed up — hide it, spiral, or come clean?

Shame has one job: to make you hide. It tells you that if people really knew what you'd done, including God they'd walk away. But that's not how the story goes. Even David, after crossing a line he never thought he'd cross, learned that hiding only made things worse. Jesus told a story about a father who waited with open arms for a son who'd wandered off and made a mess of things, because God isn't in the business of canceling people. He's in the business of running toward them.

What if the very thing you're hiding is the thing keeping you stuck? 💡 Secrets grow heavier the longer we carry them alone — but there's a different way through. Whether it's confession before God, a conversation with a trusted friend, or sitting down with a pastor, the way out has never been secrecy. It's light. If you need a place to start, we're here during the day for care appointments, and we can point you toward a counselor too. What's one small step toward the light for you today?
