No worship at our building in Fisher this Sunday, but we hope you join us for our first 5th Sunday Combined Service in Farmer City! Our Pastor Julia Abel is pastor to both churches and we look forward to this new connection in ministry. See you there!

Sometimes the neighbors we help through UMCOR are right next door. ❤️

Over the past week, people across the Midwest U.S. have been impacted by historic levels of flash flooding and severe storms. At least seven people have died, and thousands of residents have been affected by devastating home and infrastructure damage.

UMCOR is responding to the needs of these individuals and families through solidarity grants to the West Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church and the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church - INUMC, which will amplify their relief efforts as they distribute supplies and support local churches that are preparing and distributing food and helping residents with flood clean-up.

We were blessed to have David and June Sparks share in worship this morning! Although David grew up in Fisher, he and June have served as missionaries in Australia 34 years with Navigator’s Ministries! Because our local church financially and prayerfully supports them, by extension we are helping people on the other side of the world hear the Good News.
David and June will be retiring in December and to them we say, “Well done, good and faithful servants!”

When disaster strikes close to home, help can move quickly. ❤️

After torrential rain brought devastating flooding across the Midwest last week, Midwest Mission was able to respond with supplies for families facing the hard work of cleaning and restoring their homes.

We received a request from the town of Lansing, Illinois, for Cleaning Kits—supplies to help clean and disinfect flood-damaged homes.

And in Indiana, a God Moment made a quick response possible. Ramon Ortiz, Operations Manager, was already traveling through Indiana, so he was able to add 180 Cleaning Kits, 96 Hygiene Kits, and 10 Menstrual Hygiene Kits to his trailer and deliver them to New Castle First UMC.

In Illinois, we were able to send a Generator with the Illinois Great Rivers Conference as the help with flood relief in Bloomington. This was able to happen because of our board member, Curt Franklin, who was able to deliver it!

Three communities. Three timely requests. Three unexpected opportunities to get help where it was needed.

Because of you and the supplies and funds you donate, when God opens the door, we're ready to walk through it.
