Thank you all for your continued support. We are so blessed with all the clothing and items you have given The Gift. We have had such an amazing year so far. Just to put the word out in a timely manner WE WILL BE CLOSED Saturday, July 11, and Saturday, Nov. 7. When we are not open the Drop Off Shed is a place to DROP OFF - not to shop! Things taken out of the shed without permission is considered THEFT!
A big shout out to my wonderful workers who work tirelessly all week just to do it all again next week, my church family who allow us to use the buildings and grounds, and Justin Krile of Krile's Auction in Strasburg for all his auction 'leftovers'.
God is good and continues to work through you and I at The Gift. I hope you have a wonderful Easter, attend the church your choice, and celebrate new beginnings. A shirt that hung in the hallway last week said, 'Silly rabbit, Easter is for Jesus!' Amen!

Come see us tomorrow at The Gift. We have 2 couches, a loveseat, a hide a bed, a baby bed, a complete queen size bed, a desk, a cabinet, and 2 older sewing machines in cabinets that need to find a new home. We are open from 9 - 1.

Thank you so much for all your support! We were able to pack 600 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child last month and had enough money to send them all! We couldn't have done it without you! Due to the 'crazy' weather last week we are EXTREMELY over blessed to be so EXTREMELY overloaded with everything from clothing to toys to glassware, etc. So please come see us this weekend to help us with our overcrowding. All our Christmas is out and yes, we do have a few Christmas trees left. Hope to see you this weekend. May God bless you and have a very Merry Christmas!

The Gift will not be open today, November 8, 2025. We will be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child in the basement of the church next door. You are all welcome to come help us pack. Our goal is 600 shoeboxes packed to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with children all over the world. Please pray that our boxes reach the children God has intended them for. Have a blessed day!

Yeah! We are back up and running again! Thanks for your continued support! Just want to give you a heads up that we will be CLOSED on Saturday, November 8th to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. You are all welcome to come help us pack - 9 - 11 in the church basement. Refreshments will be served! For all of you who have continually given me shoe boxes throughout the year, they have been wrapped and are ready to be filled. Our goal this year is 600 and I am in great need of about 160 more shoeboxes! If you have any just lying around, please consider sending them my way. I have about a month to get them ready for the Shoebox Packing party! Thanks so much!

Good news! The Gift will be open this weekend Friday, Sept. 12th and Saturday, September13th. Thank you for your patience, help in passing the word, your prayers, your concern, and your help. I'm not back to 100 % yet, but no pain at all in that hip which has been there for years thanks to the good Lord and Dr. Sams. The shed will continue to be locked this week, but we will begin accepting donations again on Friday, September 12. A big shout at to all my helpers who have had to pull more weight since I was down, especially Marty Sparks! Without his help we would still be closed! We are bursting at the seams so hopefully we will see you this weekend! It is supposed to be good weather!

The Gift WILL NOT be open tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 5, nor Saturday, Sept. 6. I am hoping to be cleared by the dr. tomorrow. Hopefully we will be open next weekend. Okay, friends, customers, and neighbors, I need your help. I just had total hip replacement surgery, fell during my time there and broke my jaw. We posted that we WERE NOT ACCEPTING DONATIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE! It seems some people CANNOT read. Please help us by reposting this and if you see someone dumping things off, please pass this message along. I am house bound for 3 weeks, maybe longer. Someone dropped a couch and a bunch of toys off today. Now I have to find someone to take care of that mess, because I can't. Any drop offs will be thrown away or burnt. Take your items to a place that is open and can deal with it, please. If you care, please share because right now I am greatly disappointed in people and ready to quit!

The weather has become very pleasant so take advantage of it and come out tomorrow, August 1 to shop at The Gift. We are EXTREMELY full and have an overabundance of furniture - tables, chairs, recliners, beds, desks, a very nice entertainment center, and several things too numerous to mention. Reminder: The Gift will be closed on Saturday, August 2 for the funerals of Duane and Marjorie Uphoff held at the First Christian Church. Please keep their family in your prayers. Thanks!

It seems that 4 - 5 thousand steps a day is a little more than my right hip could handle, so I will be having a full hip replacement on Aug. 13. I will be under 'house arrest' for 3 weeks. Unfortunately, there is no one to take over so The Gift will be totally shut down for 3 weeks - no shopping - no donations. We will stop taking donations August 12 and will not accept donations until hopefully, September 3. The donation shed WILL BE LOCKED. Please do not leave anything outside the shed as I will not be able to be there! If you have donations, please take them to The Silk Purse in Shelbyville or another thrift store of your choice. Please share and pass this word along. Thank you!

The Gift will be CLOSED this Saturday, August 2 due to a funeral being held at the First Christian Church. Our prayers go out to the Dwane Uphoff family at the loss of their loved one. He will be sadly missed. Please share this information to help get the word out to all. Thanks, Chris

Well, rummage sales have started, and we are super excited - I THINK! We have really been overloaded and will be downsizing things that have been in the building for a couple of months because we just DO NOT HAVE ROOM! Please come see if we have anything that you might be looking for this Friday and Saturday. While I have your attention, we will not be open on July 12 and November 8 this year. Signs will be posted, and another update will be issued. Shoppers are asked to lock their purses in their cars due to a theft issue. Also, a reminder that manners are important and verbal abuse will not be tolerated! Thanks!
