Sean & Belinda Cordi began hosting 'Valentine's Banquets' for Church of the Living God in 2007. Beginning in a small banquet room at the Golden Corral, every year's attendance has grown, reaching couples from all different churches and backgrounds. In 2011, the Lord put on Sean & Belinda's hearts the need for an ongoing marriage outreach. In January 2012, Church of the Living God established this
as 'Tender Hearts Marriage Ministry.' In February 2017, the 10th Valentine's Banquet was held, marking a decade of this annual event celebrating love and romance! Meeting on average once a month, Tender Hearts hosts a 1 hour 'Marriage Builder' group featuring unique lessons that have an emphasis on dating your spouse, romance and communication. Some past lessons include: 'My Lover, My Friend,' 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Hazardous Materials.' Other messages have covered the books 'The 5 Love Languages' by Dr. Gary Chapman and 'Love & Respect' by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. These 'Marriage Builder' groups are also open to engaged and seriously dating couples interested in strengthening their relationship. With no church membership necessary OR reservations needed, these gatherings are casual, laid back and fun for everyone! Child care is provided with a love offering picked up for our volunteer. Sean & Belinda have been married for 14 years and are passionate about helping couples have the best marriage possible. They are Certified Marriage Mentors as well as SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Facilitators. Both of these certifications are through Drs. Les & Leslie Parrot, who have been featured on 'Focus on the Family' and are founders of 'The Center for Relationship Development.'
