Jesus doesn't lower the bar when following gets hard—He asks the ultimate question: 'Will you also go away?' Your answer, shown not just with words but with your feet, reveals if you're consuming Jesus or truly following Him. 🚶‍♂️💯

Crowds followed Jesus. They listened to His teaching, watched His miracles, and walked alongside His disciples. Yet when His words became difficult and His claims demanded a response, many turned away.

It's possible to be close to Christianity without ever truly trusting Christ. You can know the stories, attend the services, and speak the language of faith while never personally surrendering your life to Him.

Jesus doesn't call us merely to be around Him. He calls us to believe Him, receive Him, and follow Him.

Take a moment today and ask yourself: Is my faith based on familiarity with Jesus, or genuine trust in Jesus?

📖 "Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life." — John 6:68

If this post challenges or encourages you, comment "I choose Jesus" below, share it with someone who needs this reminder, and join us this Sunday as we continue exploring what it truly means to follow Christ.

Series: That You May Believe
Title: Should I Stay Or Should I Go?
Scripture: John 6:51-71
Speaker: Pastor Ben Jennings
Service: Sunday AM Worship
Service Date: May 31, 2026
Jesus leaves us no choice but to receive Him or reject Him. We can understand this reality by recognizing these five aspects of the disciples experience at the end of the bread of life conversation with Jesus.
1. The Disputing around the disciples. (v.52-58)
2. The Dilemma of the disciples. (v.60-65)
3. The Departure of some disciples. (v.66-67)
4. The Declaration of the disciples. (v. 68-69)
5. The Duplicity among the disciples. (v.70-71)
Consider these 4 questions to ask yourself:
1. Why are there so many opinions about Jesus that contradict His clear teachings?
2. Do I believe the truth and follow Christ even when it is difficult?
3. Do I stay or do I go?
4. Have I confronted my own capacity for denying or betraying Jesus Christ?

The life Jesus offers isn’t just for the “good,” the “religious,” the chosen or the people who seem to have it all together.

It’s for everyone.

“The bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.” — John 6:33

Jesus didn’t come just to improve your life for a moment. He came to give eternal life through Himself. Real forgiveness. Real hope. Real peace.

The life of Jesus is available for everyone and offered to everyone. The question is: will you receive Him?

If you’ve been searching for purpose, peace, or a fresh start, Jesus is still inviting people to come to Him today.

You can respond to Jesus as the bread of heaven by realizing three realities mentioned by Jesus.
1. Jesus, the bread of heaven, gives life. (v. 30-33)
2. Jesus, the bread of heaven, gives life through belief. (v. 34-47)
3. Jesus, the bread of heaven, gives life through belief because of His death and resurrection. (V. 48-51)
