I heard the Holy Spirit whisper, “soaking season.”
This is a season where Heaven is opening and the Spirit of God is saturating everything that has become dry, weary, cracked, and exhausted.
“For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground,” Says the Lord (Isaiah 44:3)
Some people have been surviving in spiritual drought conditions for far too long.
You’ve prayed while weary, worshipped while tired, and served while empty.
You’ve smiled on the outside while your spirit felt dry on the inside.
But the Lord says the rain is coming to the dry places.
This is a soaking season.
A soaking that softens hardened places and awakens dormant seeds.
Some things cannot grow without saturation.
Some promises cannot break open without the rain of His Spirit.
Some hearts have become so bruised by disappointment and warfare that only the presence of God can soften them again.
Natural soaking rain does not only touch the top of the ground.
It seeps deep into the soil until the roots are reached.
In the same way, God is not just touching surface emotions in this hour.
He is healing deep places.
He is reviving secret places.
He is restoring intimacy that has been lost in the busyness, distractions, and heaviness of life.
Some have been asking God for direction, but Heaven is responding with saturation first.
Because before God releases fresh assignment, He often releases fresh oil.
Before there is fruit, there must first be rain.
The Lord is washing off the residue of past seasons.
He is cleansing disappointment, striving, grief, fear, burnout, and weariness.
Some have carried the dust of battle for too long, but the rain of His Spirit is washing His people again.
This is a season where God is calling His people deeper.
Surface Christianity will not sustain people in the days ahead.
Casual encounters will not be enough.
God is drawing hungry people back into the secret place.
Back into lingering prayer.
Back into worship that is not rushed.
Back into the Word.
Back into communion with Him.
Do not run from the rain in this season.
Sit in His presence without rushing to the next thing.
Let Him soak every dry place until rivers begin to flow again.
Some of you have felt forgotten, hidden, or barren, but barren ground is exactly where God promises to pour floods.
The driest places often become the greatest evidence of His outpouring.
We are entering days of fresh refreshing, fresh hunger, and fresh fire.
What has been dormant is about to awaken.
What has felt lifeless is about to live again.
Seeds that looked buried are about to break open under the rain of Heaven.
This is not the season to disconnect from His presence.
This is the season to remain under the open Heaven of God until every dry place becomes saturated again.
Because, after the soaking season comes the harvest season.
