The U.S. bishops' consecration of our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for America's 250th Anniversary will take place at Mary, Queen of the Universe Basilica in Orlando, Florida, this Thursday, June 11. The livestream can be viewed that day beginning at 1 pm Pacific Time at https://www.youtube.com/usccb. Learn more about the bishops' decision to consecrate in the recent Northwest Catholic article linked here.

How might you help a nation in political turmoil celebrate its 250th anniversary? Dedicate it to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Everyone who supports the Annual Catholic Appeal strengthens our local Church by sustaining ministries that serve the needs of our family of faith - from chaplains bringing comfort to hospitals, to multicultural groups welcoming all with Christ's love. Gifts received above St. Martin of Tours Parish's $36,388 goal helps fund improvements to our church roof! Find Appeal envelopes at church, or donate at https://archseattle.org/giveaca.

On May 17, Auxiliary Bishop Schuster confirmed teens from All Saints and St. Martin of Tours, as well as candidates from All Saints's OCIA program. A few days later (May 20), Father Cal confirmed adults from All Saints and candidates preparing for Confirmation and First communion through OCIA at that Parish. Blessings upon all during this most joyous time of their spiritual lives! (pictures courtesy of Andrew)

Marc Nuno, who begins serving All Saints as the new principal on July 1, recently visited the campus for an assembly, during which he was greeted by students, families and current principal Cliff Schlattmann. "Thank you for the blessing and opportunity to join your community," Marc wrote in a letter to All Saints. "I am filled with hope, gratitude, and peace as we begin this new chapter together." Please join us in joyfully welcoming Marc to our Parish Family!

Happy June! This is a blessed month for 2 men in our Archdiocese - Deacon Simon Stehr and Brother Deacon Damien-Joseph Rappuhn, OSB - who will be ordained at St. James Cathedral this Saturday, June 6. Recently, our Parish Family's Pastor, Father Cal, and 2 of its vicars (Fathers Dexter and Quy) were each featured in a video that explored his journey to the priesthood, the joys of his vocation, and advice to those discerning God's call. The vision of our former Pastor, Father Michael, has come to fruition! Posts supporting the portico adorning All Saints Church's main entrance have been replaced with wood from trees near the Fife-Milton Community Food Bank at St. Martin of Tours. Parishioners from each campus collaborated on transporting logs to a local sawmill. After drying at All Saints, the wood was painted and installed this week. We are so thankful that a piece of St. Martin of Tours lives on at All Saints!

Thank you to the almost 70 households at St. Martin of Tours who have generously made one-time and recurring gifts or pledged to the Annual Catholic Appeal. Your support matters for religious and lay leaders serving our Archdiocese - future seminarians, members of deacon formation, and laity are better equipped because of you. Gifts received above our Parish's $36,388 goal help fund improvements to the church roof! Donate today at church or online at https://archseattle.org/giveaca.

Thank you to all who visited St. Martin of Tours on Sunday, May 24, for Masses on Pentecost, which concludes the Easter season. The altar area inside church was decorated for this special Solemnity to honor the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the birthday of the Catholic Church. Let us "be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18) and proclaim the Gospel today and always!
