Happy Grandparents Day to our precious grandparents! Thank you for being Legacy Leavers!

HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY!

Grandchildren are such a blessing and to be a grandparent is, among many things, well - just FUN! However, God has not only given us rich blessings in those precious faces, He has given we grandparents a rich and serious charge - to leave a legacy for them in which to thrive.

Proverbs 13:22a states, "A good life gets passed on to the grandchildren;". It goes on to speak to an ill-gotten life as well. We should ALL wish to leave this world better for us being placed within it; especially should this be the desire we have for our grandchildren.

If you are blessed to have your grandparents still in your life, CALL THEM TODAY! A call from you is the brightest part of ANY day! If you are a parent that has grandparents that have spoken into your children's lives, thank them. Show them how much you appreciate their partnership in raising your children. Godly grandparents are a gift from God. Thank them for their strength, love, and for who they are to you.

Leaving a legacy and an inheritance is NOT speaking only about finances. We should allow our lives - the way we speak, treat others, and the example we set, be part of what our grandchildren will desire to emulate. Let us leave them an example that is worthy of the blessing they are to us. After all, that is why we call them "GRANDS"!

There are moments when you stop scrolling, stop talking, and simply observe…and your heart is changed.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve found myself captivated by the reactions of our brothers and sisters from around the world as they experience America during the FIFA World Cup. Watching them discover the beauty of our nation through their own eyes has filled my heart with an even deeper gratitude for the country I’ve been blessed to call home.

One theme continues to surface. So many have shared that what they had been told about America simply wasn’t true. Their media painted one picture, but their own experiences painted another. They found kindness where they expected hostility, generosity where they anticipated division, and people who genuinely welcomed them.

As a Southern girl, I’ve smiled more than once reading their amazement over true Southern hospitality. It reminds me that some of life’s greatest truths are not argued—they’re experienced.

Those stories have caused me to reflect on something much bigger.

When did we begin allowing headlines, algorithms, AI, and social media to replace our own pursuit of truth? When did someone else’s version of reality become more convincing than what we can witness with our own eyes?

Genesis 5:2 reminds us that God created us in His image. I believe He also gave us minds to discern, wisdom to seek truth, and the freedom to decide what will shape our hearts and beliefs.

I’ve been blessed to visit other countries and have experienced kindness from people who had been portrayed otherwise. Those moments reminded me there is simply no substitute for personal experience.

As America celebrates 250 years of God’s blessing, I’m grateful to call this nation—and the South—home. Seeing our international guests fall in love with the America they’ve actually experienced has filled me with hope.

May we never surrender our God-given ability to seek truth for ourselves, and may we never allow anyone or anything to convince us that we are anything less than blessed to be Americans.

God has truly blessed America. 🇺🇸❤️

At WEGS, We Encourage God's Servants. What an encouragement it is to know that God calls us His and we can know His voice!

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27, NKJV)

There’s something deeply comforting about recognizing a familiar voice. Just as children instantly know the sound and tone of their parents' voices, we too, as followers of Jesus, come to recognize His voice. We learn it through His Word, and we grow familiar with it through prayer. His voice brings peace, direction, and assurance—it never leads us into confusion or fear.

God also reminds us in Isaiah 43:1 that He has redeemed us and called us by name—we are His. That truth alone anchors our hearts: we are not forgotten, not overlooked, not wandering without belonging. We are His.

A shepherd never loses sight of his flock. His care is constant, attentive, and intentional. In the same way, there is never a moment when God is not watching over you, not caring for you, not guiding you. Even in the quiet or uncertain seasons, His presence remains steady.

You are known. You are called. You are never outside of His care. You are loved!

This is a great goal for us as this week begins!

As this new week begins, take a deep breath and remember this truth: you were never created to mirror the opinions of people—you were created to reflect the glory of God.

2 Corinthians 3:18 reminds us that we are being transformed into His image, from glory to glory. Not into who the world says we should be. Not into the version of ourselves that feels most acceptable or approved. But into His reflection—steady, intentional, and divinely designed.

So why do we spend so much energy trying to live up to shifting expectations, when Heaven has already called us a masterpiece?

God doesn’t look at you and see potential waiting to be approved by others. He sees His reflection already at work within you. He sees beauty where you’ve been critical. He sees purpose where you’ve felt uncertain. He sees completion where you’ve been striving.

This week, let that truth anchor you.

Walk into every room knowing you don’t have to perform for identity—you carry it.
You don’t have to chase validation—you’re already seen.
You don’t have to reflect the world—you were made to reflect Him.

Let the pressure fall away. Let the comparison lose its grip. Let the truth rise:

You are His image.
You are His reflection.
You are His masterpiece in motion.

And that is more than enough.

To the woman who has walked with Jesus through years of marriage, especially when facing a dismissive-avoidant spirit: Your reliance on Him is your greatest strength. When words fail and connection feels distant, remember that the Lord is your constant companion and advocate. He sees your faithful heart, hears your prayers, and sees your enduring spirit.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)

Hold fast to His promises and His peace, which guards your heart and mind. He is your refuge and your hope, renewing your strength for every season.

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31)
