INTRODUCTION — WHERE DOES YOUR STABILITY COME FROM?

Over the past three weeks, we've been talking about what it means to live an unshakable life. We began by examining the foundation we're building our lives upon. Then we talked about allowing God's light to reveal the things in our lives that need to change. Last week, we looked at Paul's testimony and discovered that even when we're afflicted, perplexed, persecuted, or struck down, God's power can sustain us.

As we conclude this series, I want us to consider one final question: Where does our stability really come from?

Check out this week’s Sunday Setlist and get ready to worship with us tomorrow! We can’t wait to see everyone! 🙌

INTRODUCTION—Paul's day, clay jars were ordinary household containers. They were inexpensive, fragile, and easily broken. They weren't particularly impressive, but they were useful because of what they could hold.

Paul uses this illustration to remind us that while we may be weak and fragile, we carry something of extraordinary value. The power that sustains us doesn't come from ourselves. It comes from God.

Paul then describes four experiences that demonstrate how God's power sustains him through life's difficulties. He doesn't pretend that following Christ makes life easy. Instead, he acknowledges the hardships he faces while declaring that those hardships haven't defeated him.

Being unshakable doesn't mean we won't experience difficulties. It means that God's power is greater than the difficulties we experience.
