🙏🏾 A Praying Church is a Powerful Church 🙏🏾

At the City of Life, prayer is not just something we do—it is who we are. We help people to Live In Faith Everyday (L.I.F.E). Prayer is our direct line of communication with God, strengthening our faith, guiding our decisions, and providing peace in every season of life. No matter what challenges we face, we are reminded that prayer has the power to transform situations, hearts, and lives.

The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Pray without ceasing.” This scripture reminds us that prayer should be a daily lifestyle, not just an occasional act. Through prayer, we stay connected to God, seek His wisdom, and align ourselves with His perfect will.

Philippians 4:6 encourages us, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” When we pray, we exchange worry for worship, fear for faith, and uncertainty for trust in God’s promises.

As believers, we are called to remain steadfast in prayer, knowing that God hears every petition and responds according to His purpose. Prayer is essential because it keeps us grounded, encouraged, and empowered to walk in victory.

What a beautiful 5th Sunday here at NMV! We were blessed by a powerful word, “Who Can I Run To?” and were reminded that no matter what we face in life, we can always run to Jesus.

What a powerful full day of worship on yesterday! We started the day worshipping with our New St. Mark family and then headed back to worship at New Mt. Vernon. God truly met us in a mighty way at both services. The presence of God was undeniable, and hearts were encouraged, refreshed, and filled.

The big idea from Pastor’s sermon reminded us that “double minded people live double drained lives.” We cannot fully walk in purpose while being divided in our thinking and faith. Stay focused, stay grounded, and stay connected to God.

Join us this Wednesday at 7PM for Healing Hub as we continue to grow, heal, and worship together. We can’t wait to see you there!
