What a wonderful morning of worship at First Presbyterian Church!
We commissioned our Youth Mission Team as they prepare to travel to Richmond, Virginia, to partner with Habitat for Humanity and help build homes. We send them with our prayers, encouragement, and gratitude as they share Christ’s love through service.
We were also blessed by beautiful music from the Choir School, a joint ministry of First Presbyterian Church and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. What a gift to hear these young voices lead us in worship, along with Andy, Mary & the Chancel Choir!
During the Time with Young Disciples, Pastor Dawn packed a backpack with all sorts of things and invited the children to think about what we really need for life’s journey.
We shared the sacrament of communion, giving thanks that in Christ, God gives us all we need.
As we begin our summer worship series, Summer Road Trip, today's message, Pack Light, reminded us that Jesus sends us forward not weighed down by worry and possessions, but trusting in God's provision and the support of one another.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this morning so meaningful. Please keep our youth and leaders in your prayers as they travel and serve!
