What if spiritual growth isn't about doing more, but about letting go? This week we explored John 15:1-5, where Jesus reminds us that He is the vine and we are the branches—and growth doesn't happen on our timeline.
Here's the truth: God grows us organically through subtraction and dependence. Sometimes that pruned vine in your life—the season that feels stripped bare—is actually preparing you for the most fruitful growth yet. Winter isn't abandonment; it's transformation happening beneath the surface.
Stop trying to microwave your spiritual journey. Instead, abide in Jesus. Slow down, sit at the foot of the cross—weak, dependent, and forgiven—and let Him do the work only He can do. Growth happens with grace, space, and time.
Apart from Him, we can do nothing. Connected to Him, we can bear much fruit.
